Project Description:

The Parq on Speer project in Denver, Colorado features a total of 50,000 square feet of luxuries including a pool deck as well as a covered dog park complete with an irrigation system. Aiding in the overall high-performance of the building, architects also utilized the SMARTci 1 in 1 continuous insulation system to provide state-of-the-art thermal efficiency for residents. In today’s world, energy efficiency is at the forefront when it comes to large commercial buildings, particularly in an area that has a varying climate. Finding a best practice continuous insulation system was critical for thermal efficiency in the Parq on Speer. Improving overall thermal performance of the structure, will ultimately reduce not only energy use and costs for residents, but extend the life of the building as well.

The SMARTci 1 in 1 continuous insulation system offered a best practice solution in thermal efficiency for the Parq on Speer building. The GreenGirt CMH z-girt sub-framing material eliminates the need for through-metal fasteners. Accomplished with a fastener retention system, this provides a thermal break and prevents thermal energy to travel from exterior cladding to the building studs. This can significantly decrease energy lost as well as energy costs. GreenGirt takes away vulnerability of cold spots caused by through-metal fasteners.
