Sutphin Senior Residence

Queens, NY
The Sutphin Senior Residence center is a 15-story affordable housing building at 97–04 Sutphin Boulevard in Jamaica, Queens, NY, designed to meet Passive House standards. To address the thermal loss that occurs at windows and openings, the GreenGirt CMH XO high-efficiency structural thermal framing system for windows was used to align the thermal plane of the window with the thermal plane of the continuous insulation, mitigating thermal loss and maximizing thermal efficiency. By increasing energy efficiency at building openings, GreenGirt CMH XO reduces energy waste, conserving resources and reducing embodied carbon emissions. This project contains 7,900 linear feet of the GreenGirt CMH XO structural thermal framing system for windows.
