Achieve structural integrity and energy performance when you specify GreenGirt CMH and SMARTci

Providing architects, engineers, specifiers, green building professionals, and façade professionals with the knowledge to use our industry-leading systems to meet aggressive building performance targets.

Elevated Design Options, Easy to Specify and Energy Efficient

Having demonstrated success on thousands of projects, the GreenGirt CMH and SMARTci systems can elevate your building to a model of energy efficiency.

There are many factors that impact the selection of a continuous insulation and building enclosure system. Mandatory standards from the ICC and ASHRAE, along with optional certification programs like LEED, Green Globes, and Passive House, all drive buildings to meet higher energy performance thresholds. The innovative, patented composite metal hybrid composition of GreenGirt CMH and SMARTci systems ensures not only lasting structural integrity and durability for your building, but also 92-98% energy efficiency.

Worried about fire? When using our systems, you shouldn’t be – GreenGirt CMH and SMARTci systems comply with NFPA 285 and ASTM E84 fire tests. The same goes for protection from the elements – many of our systems form an air-, water-, and vapor-tight building enclosure up to 20 psf, meaning these systems can endure winds at 160 mph or greater! In addition, many systems can be installed over open framing, eliminating the need for sheathing and a WRB, with some even capable of being installed in a single pass, while still providing a smooth draining plane underneath the cladding. Some of our other systems conveniently work with all types of insulation: mineral wool, spray foam, and rigid-board insulation like XPS, EPS, and dual foil-faced class A polyiso.

On top of being a cost-conscious choice, GreenGirt CMH continuous insulation systems and SMARTci building enclosure systems are among the fastest to install because all components and insulation are designed for rapid installation, reducing construction costs, reducing on-site labor, and accelerating the timeline to building occupancy.

Best Practices

After thorough testing and based on years of experience, the eight best practices for continuous insulation systems are defined as: structural integrity, thermal efficiency, fastener retention, durability, fire resistance, environmental impact, building health, and ease of installation.

Specification

The evolution of CMH systems has been guided by rigorous standard specifications.
