Academy for Global Citizenship

Chicago, IL
Academy for Global Citizenship in Chicago, Illinois, uses 47,000 square feet of GreenGirt CMH Delta Adjustable™ over cold-formed steel, behind fiber cement, with mineral wool insulation. It is a K-12 school serving the local community. The project was designed by FARR Associates, built by Power Construction, and installed by RG Construction.

For a school built to serve its community for decades, the wall needed durable cladding support and continuous insulation that holds up with minimal upkeep; the GreenGirt CMH Delta Adjustable system supported that by carrying the cladding over a continuous insulation layer and leveling the attachment plane. Across the cold-formed-steel framing, that layer reduces thermal bridging and improves energy performance, lowering operating cost over the decades a school stays in service, while the adjustable sub-framing absorbs framing tolerances so the façade sits true.
