DHHS State Lab in Lansing, Michigan, uses 3,000 square feet of the SMARTci® building enclosure system over metal studs, behind metal panels and ACM, with XPS insulation. It is a Michigan Department of Health and Human Services state laboratory. It was designed by Mayotte Group Architects, built by The Christman Company, and installed by William Reichenbach Company.

A laboratory depends on a stable, tightly controlled interior, where steady temperature and humidity protect testing accuracy and sample integrity. The SMARTci system helps maintain those conditions by sealing the wall in a continuous air- and water-tight enclosure that limits infiltration and the internal condensation that Lansing’s humid summers and cold winters can drive into the assembly.
