Farmersville Independent School District

Wylie, TX

Farmersville Independent School District in Wylie, Texas, uses 34,000 square feet of the SMARTci® building enclosure system over steel studs, behind metal panels, with polyiso insulation. It is a K-12 school facility. It was designed by Claycomb Associates, built by Gallagher Construction Services, and installed by Paragon Roofing, Inc.

In the Texas heat, a school’s cooling load depends on an envelope that blocks air and moisture from moving through the wall. SMARTci forms an air- and water-tight enclosure that eliminates thermal bypass behind the metal panels, closing the gaps and air channels that would otherwise let conditioned air escape and outside heat enter.
