Staff Accountant

A2P is is seeking a full time Staff Accountant, ideal candidate that will be able to work independently and be able to not only identify but solve any problems when encountered. The candidate should have a strong grasp of technology and be comfortable with SAP and QuickBooks. Responsibilities
  • Maintain documentation for all transactions, balances, and journal entries
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Sales Invoicing
  • Complete month end and quarter end close
  • Cost Accounting, % of completion calculation
  • Monitor and maintain Inventory Control
  • Complete annual budget and forecasts
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets and pivot tables
  • Create monthly financial statements and presents to management
  • Analyze financial results and identify trends and provide pertinent solutions as needed
  • Maintain monthly/quarterly Sale Tax state returns
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting for finance is preferred
  • Previous experience working in manufacturing, construction, contract production a plus
  • Leadership and communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail, understanding of, and product costing is a huge advantage
  • Stable employment history, min of 3-4 years per
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Champion with SAP
  • Experience with % of completion in job costing
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A friendly personality with a desire to help our internal and external customers
Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred or experience in related fields
  • 3-5+ years of previous experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • QuickBooks and Fixed Assets experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality on sensitive projects
  • Willingness to help where needed

Pay: $60,000-$75,000 per year based on experience
