Mt. Hope Elementary School

Lansing, MI

Mt. Hope Elementary School in Lansing, MI, uses 26,000 SF of GreenGirt Max CMH™ on the walls and the GreenGirt XO™ structural thermal framing system at the windows, over CMU, behind ACM cladding, with mineral wool insulation. It is a new energy-efficient elementary school for grades 4 through 8, replacing a building nearly a century old, designed by C2AE, built by The Christman Company, and installed by Wolverine Enclosures.

The GreenGirt XO system frames the windows so they line up with the insulation, closing the openings where conventional framing loses the most heat. GreenGirt Max CMH holds the wall insulation continuous behind the ACM, keeping the whole exterior insulated across both walls and openings.
