The Tri-County Biological Science Center in North Charleston, SC, is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art DNA laboratory created through a tri-county collaboration among Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties. The new laboratory was designed specifically for forensic analysis and, using modern lab design and equipment, aims to significantly reduce DNA processing times and cut the backlog currently handled by the state lab. This project contains 8,500 square feet of the SMARTci building enclosure system.
