Arverne East Mixed-Use Development in Queens, New York, uses GreenGirt Max CMH™ over metal studs, behind wood siding, with mineral wool insulation. It is part of a sustainability-focused mixed-use development on the coastal Rockaway peninsula. The project was designed by WXY Architects and installed by Hi-Lume Corporation.

For a mixed-use building on a coastal site like the Rockaways, the wall takes salt air and wind-driven rain, and its wood siding has to be able to dry. Pressed tight against insulation, wood traps moisture and fails early. GreenGirt Max CMH answers that by standing the siding off on a back-ventilated rainscreen cavity over a thick, vapor-open mineral-wool layer, so the wood sheds water and dries from behind, while the deep continuous insulation gives the envelope a high effective R. On an exposed oceanfront peninsula, a wall that drains and dries over an unbroken insulation layer is what keeps a wood-clad building durable.
