Bally’s Casino

Kansas City, MO
Bally’s Casino in Kansas City, Missouri, uses 21,000 square feet of the SMARTci® building enclosure system over metal studs, behind metal panels, with polyiso insulation. It is a casino and entertainment venue. The project was designed by JCJ Architects and built by Whiting-Turner.

For a casino that runs around the clock, the wall needed continuous insulation and a tight air- and water-control layer to hold steady interior conditions; the SMARTci system supported that by combining both in one enclosure behind the metal panels. Because the building is conditioned continuously, cutting thermal bridging and air leakage does ongoing work on energy use, and in Kansas City’s humid summers and cold winters, the air- and water-tight assembly also helps manage moisture and keep the interior environment stable.
