Carolina Meadows Assisted Living

Chapel Hill, NC

Carolina Meadows Assisted Living in Chapel Hill, NC, uses 24,000 SF of GreenGirt Max CMH™ over metal studs, behind fiber cement cladding, with mineral wool insulation. It is a campus expansion adding assisted living, long-term care, and memory support for 90 residents, designed by Perkins Eastman, built by Blum Construction, and installed by Bonitz.

An assisted living residence houses occupants present day and night who are sensitive to drafts and temperature change, so the envelope is held to a steady, comfortable interior. GreenGirt Max CMH carries continuous mineral wool outside the metal studs, a non-combustible layer that limits the infiltration and cold spots affecting that comfort, behind a fiber cement exterior.
