Cottage Street Housing in Chelsea, MA, uses 18,000 SF of the GreenGirt CMH Delta™ Adjustable system and 1,000 SF of the SMARTci® Building Enclosure System over metal studs, behind laminate panel cladding, with mineral wool insulation. It is an affordable multi-family building at 170 Cottage Street, built to Passive House standards, designed by Davis Square, built by Bald Hill Builders, and installed by Bridgeline Exteriors.

Passive House certification requires an exceptionally airtight, highly insulated envelope. The Delta Adjustable system carries a deep, continuous mineral wool layer outside the framing and brings the cladding to a true plane, limiting the thermal bypass the standard targets.
