Durham Board of Elections in Durham, NC, uses 6,000 SF of GreenGirt Max CMH™ over metal studs and gypsum, behind metal panel cladding, with mineral wool insulation. It is a Board of Elections facility converting an existing shopping center into offices, election warehouse space, training rooms, and community meeting rooms, designed by RND, built by Samet, and installed by Martin Roofing.

Converting an existing commercial building requires bringing its exterior up to current envelope standards. GreenGirt Max CMH adds a continuous mineral wool layer outside the framing, holding the insulation unbroken across the studs and carrying the metal panels on a thermally broken support.
