Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center in Waterloo, Iowa, uses 3,000 square feet of the SMARTci® building enclosure system over metal studs, behind ACM cladding, with polyiso insulation. It is a convention and event facility. It was designed by ISG, built by Cardinal Construction, Inc., and installed by ASI Custom Sheet Metal.

A convention center experiences event-driven swings in occupancy and ventilation, so its enclosure must hold a stable, sealed boundary regardless of the load inside. SMARTci provides that air- and water-tight enclosure and carries the ACM panels on a true, level plane, the kind of durable envelope public assembly buildings rely on for decades of low-maintenance performance.
