Fort Fisher Visitor Center in Kure Beach, North Carolina, uses 18,000 square feet of GreenGirt Max CMH™ over steel studs, behind fiber cement cladding, with mineral wool insulation. It is a visitor center on the North Carolina coast at Kure Beach. It was designed by Clark Nexsen, built by Bordeaux Construction, and installed by Sears Contract.

A building on the Atlantic shoreline faces sustained wind-driven rain and salt-laden air, so its cladding has to shed water without loading the wall behind it. The GreenGirt Max CMH girts hold the fiber cement off a continuous insulation plane and create the drained cavity of a rainscreen, letting water exit at the face while the composite metal hybrid sub-framing limits conduction back through the steel studs.
