John Rogers Elementary School in Seattle, WA, uses 6,500 SF of the GreenGirt CMH Delta™ Adjustable system over steel studs, behind ACM cladding, with mineral wool insulation. It is a public elementary school replacement for 500 students, described as the first net-zero energy school in Seattle. The project was designed by DLR Group, built by Lydig, and installed by Architectural Sheet Metal.

A net-zero energy building must keep energy demand low enough for on-site generation to balance it, which makes envelope performance central. The Delta Adjustable system carries a deep, continuous mineral wool layer outside the steel framing, bringing the ACM to a true plane while limiting the conductive paths that reduce a wall’s effective R-value.
