King Cove School in King Cove, Alaska, uses 21,000 square feet of GreenGirt Max CMH™ over metal studs, behind metal panel cladding, with mineral wool insulation. It is a K-12 school serving a remote community on the Alaska Peninsula. It was designed by Kumin Associates, with CBC Group serving as both general contractor and installer.

A school on the Alaska Peninsula meets high winds and severe cold, and its wall holds the cladding five inches off the structure to make room for that much insulation. The GreenGirt Max CMH girts span that depth and carry the metal panels under wind load, where the material thickness of the sub-framing governs how much force the attachment can resist.
