Ohio State University East Hospital

Columbus, OH

Ohio State University East Hospital in Columbus, OH, uses 5,800 SF of the SMARTci® building enclosure system over metal studs, behind metal panel cladding, with polyiso insulation. It is an outpatient facility expansion combining academic medicine with a community-based setting. The project was designed by Wellogy, built by Barton Malow, and installed by Phinney Industrial Roofing & Sheet Metal.

An outpatient medical facility depends on a stable, controlled interior for patient care. SMARTci supports that with a continuous air- and water-tight enclosure over polyiso, limiting the infiltration that disrupts interior conditions through Ohio’s cold winters, behind a metal panel exterior.
