One&Only Moonlight Basin Resort in Big Sky, MT, uses 5,000 SF of GreenGirt Max CMH™ over steel studs, behind fiber cement and aluminum composite plate cladding, with mineral wool insulation. It is an all-season luxury mountain resort with private residences, hotel amenities, and dining. The project was designed by Olson Kundig, built by Langlas & Associates, and installed by Axiom Construction & Consulting LLC.

Big Sky sits at high elevation in the Montana Rockies, where winters are long and the envelope carries a substantial heating load. GreenGirt Max CMH holds a continuous mineral wool layer outside the steel framing, maintaining the wall’s effective R-value while carrying the fiber cement and aluminum composite plate cladding on a thermally broken support.
