Paragon Star in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, uses 19,000 SF of the SMARTci® building enclosure system over steel studs, behind metal panel cladding, with polyiso insulation. It is a mixed-use development, designed by Finkle & Williams, built by Fogel-Anderson Construction Company, and installed by Tigris Specialty Construction.

A mixed-use development combines tenants with different uses and hours behind one facade, so the envelope has to hold steady, separately controlled interior conditions across the building. SMARTci supports that by sealing the wall in a continuous air- and water-tight enclosure over polyiso, limiting the infiltration that varies unit to unit, behind a durable metal panel exterior suited to the Missouri climate.
