Plumbers Hall

Chicago, IL

Plumbers Hall in Chicago, Illinois, uses 15,000 SF of GreenGirt Max CMH™ over metal studs, behind Dri-Design cladding, with mineral wool insulation. It is a plumbers’ union training and education facility, designed by Gensler, built by W.E. O’Neil Construction Co., and installed by Tuschall Engineering, Inc.

Dri-Design panels install with open, dry joints over a drained cavity rather than sealed seams, so they require a continuous, even backing and a defined air gap behind them. GreenGirt Max CMH provides both, carrying the panels on a thermally broken support over continuous mineral wool that establishes the cavity the rainscreen needs while keeping the insulation unbroken across the steel studs.
