Pop Blocks Development

Portland, OR

Pop Blocks Development in Portland, OR, uses 8,000 SF of GreenGirt Max CMH™ over metal studs and gypsum, behind ACM cladding, with mineral wool insulation. It is an eight-story mixed-use, mixed-income development, combining housing, retail, and commercial space within a former Pepsi-Cola bottling plant. The project was designed by Mithun, built by R&H Construction, and installed by Pioneer Sheet Metal.

The girts here are set at a wider on-center spacing than a typical layout, which increases the tributary load each one carries. GreenGirt Max CMH accommodates that spacing while maintaining a thermally broken connection at each attachment, positioning the ACM over a continuous mineral wool layer across the eight-story facade.
