The Morton

Grand Rapids, MI

The Morton in Grand Rapids, Michigan, uses 3,400 SF of GreenGirt Max CMH™ over metal studs, behind metal panel cladding, with spray foam insulation. It is a multifamily residential building, designed by Integrated Architecture.

The Morton is insulated with spray foam rather than rigid board, applied wet so it expands to fill the girt cavity and seal the wall in a single pass. For a small apartment building in Grand Rapids, that continuous air seal limits the drafts and heat loss residents would otherwise feel through a cold Michigan winter, while GreenGirt Max CMH carries the metal panel exterior on a thermally broken plane outside it.
