UnityPoint Clinic — Mulberry in Muscatine, Iowa, uses 19,000 SF of the SMARTci® building enclosure system over steel studs, behind metal panel cladding, with polyiso insulation. It is a three-story clinic addition connected to the existing Mulberry hospital campus, designed by INVISION Architecture, built by Russell Construction, and installed by Allied Construction Services.

As an addition tied into an existing campus, the clinic’s exterior has to meet current envelope standards while matching a building already in service. SMARTci seals the wall in a continuous air- and water-tight enclosure over polyiso, holding steady interior conditions for clinical use through Iowa’s cold winters, behind a durable metal panel face that integrates with the existing facility.
