University of Michigan Clinical Inpatient Tower in Ann Arbor, Michigan, uses 6,000 SF of GreenGirt Max CMH™ over metal studs, behind ACM cladding, with mineral wool insulation. It is a hospital inpatient tower, designed by HOK and built and installed by CEI.

An inpatient tower houses patients recovering around the clock, so the rooms behind the facade depend on a stable, comfortable interior held steady through Ann Arbor’s cold winters. GreenGirt Max CMH carries the ACM exterior on a thermally broken plane over a continuous layer of mineral wool, an insulation that is also non-combustible, which matters in a building full of patients who cannot quickly leave. The result is a sealed, continuously insulated tower wall that keeps patient rooms steady and the envelope safe.
