Xilinx Building 3 in San Jose, California, uses 39,000 SF of GreenGirt Max CMH™ over concrete and gypsum, behind fiber cement cladding, with mineral wool insulation. It is a commercial technology office and engineering building designed by Noll & Tam Architects and built and installed by B.T. Mancini Co.

This building runs over two different backups, concrete in some areas and gypsum sheathing in others, which sit on different planes and would complicate a single cladding line. GreenGirt Max CMH bridges that with vertical girts set to a common outer plane across both substrates, carrying the fiber cement on a thermally broken support while holding one continuous mineral wool layer over the mixed backup. In the mild Bay Area climate, that continuity matters less for heating load than for keeping the facade even and the insulation unbroken.
