The Mitchell in White Plains, New York, uses 83,000 SF of SMARTci® Building Enclosure System over metal studs, behind ACM and brick cladding, with polyiso insulation. It is a large mixed-use multifamily building, designed by Lessard Design, built by Lennar Multifamily Communities Northeast, and installed by FM Construction Group, LLC.

A mixed-use residential building like this carries two very different claddings on one facade: brick, which is heavy and absorbs water, and ACM, which is light and flat. SMARTci wraps both in a single air- and water-tight enclosure over the metal studs, so the masonry and panel zones sit on one continuous insulated plane and water taken up by the brick is kept off the backup wall. Across 83,000 square feet of apartments, that sealed, continuous enclosure is what holds comfort and energy use steady for the residents behind it.
