The new Chanel retail store is part of an ongoing expansion of Westfield UTC in the University City neighborhood of San Diego, CA. This luxury development project will introduce a curated collection of high-end boutiques and chef-driven restaurants, along with new community gathering spaces, enhanced amenities, and landscaped greenspaces that reinforce the center’s resort-inspired atmosphere. Designed by MBH Architects, the project is pursuing LEED certification through the use of renewable energy systems and natural materials. To improve thermal performance and energy efficiency, 10,000 square feet of the SMARTci building enclosure system was installed by The Raymond Group, with Dickinson-Cameron Construction Company acting as the general contractor.
