Platte County Middle School in Platte City, Missouri, uses 27,000 SF of the SMARTci® building enclosure system over steel studs, behind metal panel cladding, with polyiso insulation. It is a public middle school, designed by Hollis + Miller Architects, built by Newkirk Novak Construction Partners, and installed by DB2 Services, Inc.

Classrooms depend on steady interior conditions, which air leakage through the envelope works against while adding to energy use. SMARTci seals the wall in a continuous air- and water-tight enclosure over polyiso, controlling infiltration across the metal panel facade so interior conditions remain stable through the Missouri seasons.
